Community Members Invited to Meet Candidates
Board Selects Superintendent Finalists
After a nationwide search, the Oregon School District Board of Education has selected three finalists who will participate in the final part of the interview process for the District's next Superintendent:
- Dr. Shannon Anderson: currently serving as Director of Student Services in the Oregon School District
- Dr. Sarah Chaja-Clardy: currently serving as Director of Secondary Teaching, Learning & Equity in the Sun Prairie Area School District
- Dr. Jeffrey Eichelkraut:currently serving as Middle School Principal and Director of Instruction in the New Glarus School District
A Thorough and Collaborative Process
The Board hired McPherson & Jacobson, LLC who has facilitated the search process. The new Superintendent will begin on July 1, 2026 following Dr. Bergstrom's planned retirement at the conclusion of this school year (June 30, 2026). The three final candidates were selected after a rigorous process that included candidate screening, interviews with the Board of Education, and multiple engagement sessions with families, students, staff, and community members. The process will continue with another round of interviews and additional community engagement.
Community Sessions
An essential part of the process is gathering feedback from our community. McPherson & Jacobson will be holding open sessions for community members to meet the three finalists and share feedback. All families and Oregon School District community members are invited and encouraged to attend these sessions:
- Wed., Jan. 7, 10:15-11:45 a.m., Oregon Public Library
- Wed., Jan. 7, 6:00-8:00 p.m., Oregon High School Innovation Center
